Step 1. Make sure USB Debugging is checked ON under Settings->Applications->Development.
Step 2. Connect your Droid Bionic to your computer via micro-USB cable and make sure USB connection is set to Charge Only.
Step 3. Download MotoFail for Windows or Linux/Mac and extract
Step 4. Make sure you have drivers installed, you can check by going to Device Manager and you should have something like MOT Composite ADB Interface. If you dont, download MotoHelper and install. Then plug-out and plug-in your phone.
Step 5. Double-click on Run.bat for Windows and for Linux or Mac type ./run.sh in terminal. Rooting should begin.
Step 6. After couple reboots, your Droid Bionic should be rooted.
